The Balzer family has
been in the contracting business since
1937 when C.H. Balzer founded the company. Since that time Balzer's has been involved in
many Commercial projects; Schools, Office Buildings and Hospitals.
In the 1970's Balzer's
diversified into the Industrial field; Water Treatment, Waste Water Treatment and Thermal
Generating Power Plants as well as Commercial Work.
In 1990 Balzer's started a Maintenance Division that employs many trades; Millwrights,
Boilermakers, Pipefitters, Iron Workers, Operators and Laborers.
We have completed Maintenance and Shut Down Contracts on Oil Refineries, Pulp & Paper
Mills, Potash Mines and Power Plants.
Balzer's has been involved in large Industrial Projects, some of which have been in excess
of 500 million dollars. Our company is capable of large Construction, Fabrication,
Maintenance, Design Build and General Contracting Projects. We have Approved Weld
Procedures & Quality Control Manuals for Western Canada. In recent years we have
employed various trades and had as many as 500 employees.
